Dahi Puri is a popular Indian snack made of dahi and crispy puris. Learn how to make/prepare Dahi Puri by following this easy recipe.
Ingredients
  • 20 Puris (golgappa)
  • ⅓ cup Yoghurt (thick)
  • ¼cups Peas (boiled with salt)
  • ¼ cup Potatoes (boiled)
  • ¼ tsp Jeera (cumin seeds)
  • ¼ tsp Haldi (turmeric) Powder
  • ¼ tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 1 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 4 tbsp Sweet Imli Chutney
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil (as required)
  • For garnishing
  • Fresh Coriander (chopped)
  • Cumin Seed Powder (roasted)
  • Red Chilli Powder
  • Black Salt (kala namak)
  • Salt to taste
  • Fine Sev (ready made)
Instructions
  1. Take a pan and heat oil in it.
  2. Add cumin seeds to the heated oil.
  3. When the seeds start spluttering add the diced boiled potatoes.
  4. Now add salt, chilli powder, haldi powder and garam masala powder.
  5. Saute for a few minutes and then remove the pan from the stove.
  6. Pour the yoghurt in a bowl and whip it properly.
  7. Make a small hole at the centre of each puri.
  8. Now put into it the boiled peas, potato mixture and little sweet chutney.
  9. Pour two tsp of yogurt into the puri.
  10. Garnish the puri with coriander leaves, red chilli powder, black salt and roasted cumin seeds. Sprinkle little salt and serve hot and spicy dahi puris.
