Fish Rava Fry

This is a very common dish all over south India, and is quite easy to make. It can be served as a starter, or accompanied by curry and rice.
Ingredients
  • 1 slice of seer fish
  • 2 tsp rava
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp coconut milk
  • Salt
Instructions
  1. Wash the slice and rub salt on both sides.
  2. Mix turmeric and chili powders with coconut milk and coat the fish with it. Leave aside to marinate for atleast an hour.
  3. Now, spread the rava on a plate and place the slice of fish over it, so that one side is well coated with a thin layer of rava. Repeat on the other side.
  4. Heat a flat pan with some oil and place the slice of fish in it. Cook on a low flame for about 15-20 minutes, turn and cook until done. You know it is done when the layer of rava starts to crack a little. Serve hot!
